Maybe Gisele Bundchen should stay away from Patriots practices … Tom Brady left the field early today after suffering an injury to his knee.
Details about the injury are scarce at the moment but there is definitely cause for concern. NFL.com reports that the Patriots QB was taking a few snaps during a scrimmage with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when he fell to the ground grasping his knee.

Zuri Berry of Boston.com writes that Brady did take a few more snaps after the injury but then decided that he was to sore to play. Brady consulted with Bill Belichick and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and they agreed to get Brady off of the field.
Brady did leave the field under his own power.
Berry writes: “During 11-on-11 drills vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady threw a sideline pass to Aaron Dobson that was incomplete. After the play, Brady remained down on the ground holding his left knee or leg. There did not appear to be contact on the play.”
Bleacher Report notes that the Patriots would be in a rough position if Brady’s injury does turn out to be serious. Backup QB Ryan Mallett suffered a head injury last Friday during the Patriot’s pre-season game and the only other option on the roster is Tim Tebow. Both QBs would be a pretty big step down from Brady.
