Lauren Silverman Reaches Divorce Settlement

Lauren Silverman has reached a divorce settlement with now-ex-husband Andrew Silverman.

The former couple have agreed to share joint custody of their 7-year-old son, Adam. According to TMZ, the 36-year-old will be living in New York City so she can stay close to her son.

Lauren Silverman also walked away from her 10-year marriage with a little more than $2 million.

Sources said that Silverman and X Factor judge Simon Cowell, who are expecting their first child together, are “very much together.”

However, earlier this week, sources said that Cowell left for a yachting trip to the south of France to get away from the drama surrounding the situation. According to one source, Cowell wanted to give SIlverman space “until things calm down,” but he is still planning on moving in with her.

“He cares about her and has been checking in on her and the baby,” a source said. “He still encourages Lauren to quickly figure things out with Andrew so they can move forward with their divorce.”

Andrew Silverman named Cowell in his divorce papers, and said that he broke up their marriage by getting Lauren pregnant while they were still together. However, several sources have said that the Silvermans were already in the process of getting a divorce before the pregnancy.

“She was definitely unhappy in her marriage and it’s been a while that the marriage was not great. Andrew is a very nice guy but all marriages don’t last,” a source told People.

At a TCA panel earlier this month, reporters congratulated Simon Cowell on the impending birth of his first child. Cowell asked, “Am I missing something,” before getting serious.

“Unfortunately, I have to keep this for the moment private. It’s just one of those things. But thank you very much anyway,” he said.

Cowell has also said in the past that he didn’t want children because “you’ve got a routine you can’t escape from.”
