Mayor Bob Filner Banned From All San Diego Hooters

The sexually harassing mayor of San Diego Bob Filner has been banned from all San Diego area Hooters restaurants. No, really. It might be the first real punishment that the horndog mayor has suffered in the wake of accusations that the horny creep couldn’t stop grabbing and kissing women on his staff.

On Saturday Filner emerged from what was described as two weeks of intensive rehab for the sexual harassment. Maybe. I wasn’t personally aware that one’s tendency to act like a dirty dog could respond to medical treatment.

But I’m not a doctor nor do I play one on TV.

In any event, grabby Bob Filner is back and he’s refusing to resign from his job as mayor of San Diego.

So I suppose it’s time for the general scorn from society at large to put pressure on the dude.

Executive director of the Republican Party of San Diego Francis Barraza tweeted a photo from an area Hooters where she had lunch yesterday. She was delighted to inform the world that the Democratic mayor has now been banned from Hooters because of his horndog treatment of women.

Since she’s a Republican and he’s a Democrat, I’m not just taking her word for it. But the lady also had a photograph to back up her claim.

Dude, you’re so screwed.

Bob Filner can’t eat in a restaurant where women are forced to carry hot food while wearing orange short-shorts that barely cover their rear end. He can’t eat in a restaurant named after a playful word for a woman’s rack. Eek.

But here’s the head scratcher for me. Is everybody in San Diego just as awful? I mean, what’s the director of a major political party doing having lunch in a Hooters?

If my boss forced me to attend a lunch at Hooters, guess what. That’s sexual harassment too. So I’m hoping it was a private, personal lunch, even though Hooters just doesn’t seem like the kind of place where you hang with the girlfriends.

Sure, Bob Filner should be banned from Hooters. He should resign as mayor as well. But I’m starting to wonder if there’s a culture in San Diego, and you guys all deserve each other.
