Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller Arrest Details Released
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department released the details of Jason “Mayhem” Miller’s domestic violence arrest Tuesday.
The retired MMA fighter was arrested on Sunday, August 11 after an argument that took place over a text message. The victim called police the day before and said that she had been a victim of domestic violence on Saturday, August 3. The victim said that she and Miller got into an argument over a text she found on his cell phone. Police were unable to get in contact with Miller for a statement that day.
On August 11, police were dispatched to a residence in Mission Viejo in response to a loud party. When they arrived, Miller was outside yelling at his neighbors. He was then arrested under California Penal Code 273.5, domestic violence.
Under CPC 273.5, domestic violence charges are classified as a felony. The charges carry a maximum sentence of two to four years in state prison.
Miller was released Monday morning after posting a $50,000 bond.
The victim’s injuries included multiple bruises on both arms and legs, a laceration and bleeding above her right eyebrow. There were no weapons involved.
It was initially reported that Miller had been arrested for attempted burglary.
Miller was previously arrested for domestic violence in North Carolina in August 2011. He allegedly put his sister in a headlock and refused to let her go when she wanted to leave a house party. She was able to escape and went to the Chatham County Sheriff. He was arrested for false imprisonment and simple assault. He claimed he was trying to stop her from driving.
Miller was also arrested last August after he was found naked on a sofa in the Mission Hills Church in Mission Viejo, California. He was arrested on one count of burglary and was released after posting a $20,000 bond. The charges were dropped after Pastor Brian Anderson came forward in his defense.
