Natalie Portman Claims ‘Thor 3’ Is Already Coming Together

Thor: The Dark World won’t hit theaters until this November, but star Natalie Portman revealed that the folks at Marvel are already hard at work on Thor 3.

The studio is apparently anticipating a huge box office return for the upcoming sequel. In order to keep the momentum going, producers are coming up with ideas for the next installment of the franchise.

During her appearance at Disney’s D23 expo, Natalie Portman was asked about co-star Anthony Hopkins’ love of the series. The actor previously stated that he’s definitely down for another cinematic adventure if Marvel Studios wants to put one together.

“Yeah, well I think they are going to make a ‘Thor 3’, so I think Anthony will be pleased,” she told the curious attendee.

Portman also took a moment to address her lack of stunt work in the film. If you’re hoping to see the actress battling legions of Dark Elves, then you may want to adjust your expectations accordingly.

“I didn’t really have that much physical activity in this movie because I’m the weakling, the Earthling who needs to be shielded from all of it, because they’re all the superior species, the Asgardians who are born warriors,” she explained.

While Natalie Portman seems convinced that Thor 3 is already in the works, the same cannot be said for Tom Hiddleston. When asked about the possibility of another sequel, the man who brought Loki to life on the big screen said he wasn’t so sure.

“These kind of films, not to get too heavy about it, all depend on the financial success of the one before, so we’ll have to see,” the actor explained.
