‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ Early Footage Shows Cap Kicking Hindside
Captain America: The Winter Soldier now has unfinished video from D23 showing “Cap” kicking some serious hindside. You’ll have to take our word for it at this point, as the video hasn’t been made public yet.
As you know, Captain America was the last of the Avengers to be established before Joss Whedon’s blockbuster film hit in 2012. Time-wise, though, Cap was the first of them, having been frozen in the Arctic ice since World War II and revived just in time to be inducted into Nick Fury’s Avengers initiative.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier will deal more with our hero taking on what may be his old friend Bucky, now working under mind control as the Winter Soldier. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Captain America (Chris Evans) will be teaming up with the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and series newcomer Falcon (Anthony Mackie) to take on this unexpected villain after Cap thought he could just live out his quiet life in Washington, D.C..
The footage starts out on board a SHIELD plane with the now brewing romance showing itself between polar opposites Captain America and Black Widow. The two are opposites because Captain America is a man of extreme morals and Black Widow lives a life of deception. The two get ready to jump out of the plane as she asks if he’s doing anything fun on Saturday night, and he says no. She proceeds to suggest he ask her out and he declines, saying he’s too busy, right before jumping out of the plane without a parachute.
It seems his timing was perfect, as he climbs out of the water he landed in and onto a large boat. In a flurry of action, Captain America then uses his shield and acrobatic prowess to take down a small army of men aboard the boat, after which the Black Widow and Brock Rumlow (Frank Grillo) parachute down and finish off some of the stragglers.
In part of the latter sequence from the unfinished video of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America is fighting someone with a knife and stopping another one who is about to pull an alarm lever, disarming the one with the knife and sending said weapon through the other man’s hand into the wall. Brock takes out an unseen third man, and Cap thanks him.
Brock muses, “Yeah, you seemed pretty helpless without me.”
The next scene has Black Widow suggesting that Cap try asking out the nurse, as she drops over the railing and further down the ship and shoots some more men. Speculation would state that she’s making fun of the X-Men storyline where Jean Gray was Wolverine’s nurse.
Are you excited to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier when it hits theaters in April of 2014?
