The theatrical trailer for Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro’s boxing comedy Grudge Match was recently leaked online.
However, chances are the preview won’t hang around forever. Since Hollywood studios tend to squash these leaks as soon as they surface, there’s a strong possibility that the clip won’t hang around forever. In other words, enjoy it while you can.
Grudge Match tells the story of two boxing rivals who are way past their prime. Since animosity still exists between the two former titans, they decide to come out of retirement for one final bout. Judging from the trailer, the movie seems more concerned with throwing jokes than punches.
The film follows the same formula Sylvester Stallone perfected during his days as Rocky. The story seems to spend quite a bit of time with the fighters as they prepare for the upcoming bout.
Stallone isn’t the only one with plenty of experience playing boxers on the big screen. Robert De Niro famously tackled the role of Jake La Motta in director Martin Scorsese’s 1980 drama Raging Bull.
Here’s how Warner Bros. is officially describing director Peter Segal’s Grudge Match:
The story revolves around retired boxers Billy “The Kid” McDonnen and Henry “Razor” Sharp, lifelong bitter rivals who are coaxed out of retirement and into the ring for one final grudge match — 30 years after their last title fight.
In addition to Stallone and De Niro, the flick also stars Kevin Hart, Kim Basinger, and Alan Arkin. Look for the film to arrive in theaters on December 25.
The leaked trailer is still available at Worst Previews who are hosting the clip . Be sure to check it out before someone at Warner Bros. makes it disappear.
