The new Kick-Ass 2 TV spot has our heroes teaming up against the Motherf***er.
Kick-Ass changed the way superhero movies could possibly be done, taking what was initially impossible in real life and injecting a level of realism that tends to have the censors going into overdrive. The film didn’t pull any punches, either. The timid hero Dave Lizewski (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) is constantly chided by his younger mentor Mindy Macready (Chloe Grace-Moretz) and forced to be the superhero he originally decided to become. As a result of his decision, he ended up getting Hit Girl’s father Big Daddy killed in a final battle against the criminal empire that Red Mist, now The Motherf***er, was the last one left from in the end.
The Motherf***er, or Chris D’Amico ( Christopher Mintz-Plasse ) has sworn revenge on Kick-Ass in the sequel.
The Kick-Ass 2 TV spot begins with Dave Lizewski telling Mindy Macready that he wants to team up, “You and me, we should be partners,” as she rolls her eyes.
Next we see them sparring and she readily hands him his ass, “Take your tampon out, Dave.”
Aaron Taylor-Johnson continues to narrate, “Me and Hit-Girl, we weren’t just playing super hero. We were training to really do it. There were more people joining us every night.” We see Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey) getting out of the back of a van with a dog, and a number of followers alongside Kick-Ass.
Christopher Mintz-Plasse counters with his own narrative as The Motherf***er, “I’m gonna make Kick-Ass pay for what he did to my dad. I’ll build my own evil army, and we are gonna kill Kick-Ass!”
We see The Motherf***er accompanied by a few followers of his own in a well-lit parking garage, and someone fires a grenade into a cemetery to attack what is probably one of Kick-Ass’ followers.
Colonel Stars and Stripes walks into a bar where apparently some of the evil army is hanging out, “Nice party. Anybody wanna dance?” He proceeds to wreck up the place.
