LeBron James Gets Jury Duty

NBA Stars, they’re just like us! LeBron James may be best known for his abilities on the basketball court but this week the Miami Heat star performed his civic duty in another type of court. Yep, LeBron James was called in for jury duty.

The Heat star posted a photo of his civic duty outfit on Instagram, writing: “Jury duty time. Time to serve my civic duty.”

The Miami Herald reports that James reported the Akron, Ohio courthouse on Thursday morning for jury duty.

Phil Trexler of the Akron Beacon Journal said that James spent his time in the jury foreman’s office so that he wouldn’t distract from the proceedings. James was eventually dismissed for the day but was asked to return on Friday.

James hasn’t sent out any new pictures yet but it’s safe to say that James fulfilled his jury duty obligations.

Sheriff Lt. Kandy Fatheree told The Beacon Journal: “(He brought a book and sat) “quietly and appreciatively. Everyone knew immediately who he was. It was kind of funny to see the movements of everyone whispering to each other.”
