David Cassidy Arrested and Charged with DUI

Partridge Family star David Cassidy has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence in Florida.

Cassidy was pulled over on Wednesday when a Florida Highway Patrol car noticed his car driving erratically around 6pm local time.

According to reports, officers smelled alcohol on Cassidy’s breath, then administered a field sobriety test and two breath tests, all of which he failed.

Cassidy is said to have told officers that he had a glass of wine at lunch and a pain pill later that afternoon, however officers found a half-empty bottle of bourbon on the rear seat of the vehicle.

Police said in a statement that breath tests at the St. Lucie County jail showed Cassidy’s blood-alcohol content at 0.139 and 0.141.

Cassidy was subsequently charged with “driving under the influence, failure to maintain a single lane and having an open container,” He was released Thursday morning after posting $350 in bail.
