Jason Sudeikis is not a member of Mumford & Sons. but he does star in their new video. The former SNL star appears in the bands new video along with comedians Jason Bateman, Ed Helms. and Will Forte.
The video for the song Hopeless Wanderer features the comedians standing in for the members of Mumford & Sons. The comedians pretend to play instruments, lip sync, wear sweet suspenders, and engage in some mustache make out sessions.
The band writes on Facebook : “A massive pair of thumbs-up to Sam Jones for directing and his cast of young budding actors. We’re sure they all have bright futures ahead of them.”
Ed Helms said that he tried his hardest to maintain a level of artistic integrity in the new video despite all of the shenanigans in Hopeless Wanderer.
Helms said : “Proud to be a fake member of @ MumfordAndSons I think we showed a lot of fake artistic integrity in new video.”
