Microsoft Kinect sales jump after appearance on Oprah

If you missed it, Oprah Winfrey featured Microsoft’s new Xbox 360 Kinect device on her show earlier this month, before giving her entire audience a Kinect each and reducing them to giggling, screaming prats. It was cringe. Don’t believe me? Here’s the groan-worthy video:

Anyway, surprise surprise: since Kinect got its mention, sales of the hardware have gone potty, with Amazon reporting a 42% leap in pre-orders. Proof again that (a) Easily swayed idiots will always walk amongst us and (b) Everything Oprah even blinks in the direction of automatically turns to golden unicorn poo.
