Riley Cooper N-Word Shocker At Kenny Chesney Concert [Video]
Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper is under fire today after video surfaced of him using the n-word at a Kenny Chensey concert.
In the clip, Riley Cooper is shown “being a racist hillbilly at a Kenny Chesney concert,” per Deadspin, who broke the story.
The statement in question is pretty non-ambiguous, with Cooper pointing and saying, “I will jump that fence and fight every n***** here” as he readied to go backstage.
Deadspin seems to have gacked the footage from CrossingBroad, who wrote:
“Prior to joining Chesney, several Eagles teammates and Chip Kelly on stage for The Boys of Fall, Cooper was with friends and Jason Kelce in a semi-private area near the stage. In a video that we’ve obtained, we see Kelce and others attempting to calm an agitated Cooper down just before he points in the direction of the crowd (and camera) and says, as best as we can tell: ‘I will jump that fence and fight every nigger here, bro.’ ”
After he makes the statement, the apparently intoxicated woman beside him makes a noise and says, “… uh oh, he said n*****.”
Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie reacted, saying the team was “shocked and appalled” by Cooper’s racial outburst, adding that the WR “has been fined” for the comments:
“We are shocked and appalled by Riley Cooper’s words. This sort of behavior or attitude from anyone has no role in a civil society. He has accepted responsibility for his words and his actions. He has been fined for this incident.”

The NFL also commented:
“The NFL stands for diversity and inclusion. Comments like this are wrong, offensive, and unacceptable.”
In a series of chastened tweets, Riley Cooper admits saying the word and apologizes — he posted:
“I am so ashamed and disgusted with myself. I want to apologize. I have been offensive. I have apologized to my coach, to Jeffrey Lurie, to Howie Roseman and to my teammates. I owe an apology to the fans and to this community. I am so ashamed, but there are no excuses. What I did was wrong and I will accept the consequences.”
Riley Cooper’s n-word fine amount was not disclosed by the Eagles.
