Justin Bieber Brings A Rose To Selena Gomez’s Birthday Party [Video]
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have torpedoed recent rumors that he was banned from her 21st birthday celebrations, when he attended her party this Saturday bearing a red rose.
You read that right.
A red rose.
Gomez has been celebrating her milestone calendar year all week. And this weekend she threw a Gypsy-themed birthday bash at Revolve Clothing Beach House in Malibu to cap it off.
Bieber, who flew back from Toronto where he had been performing on his Believe tour, to go to his ex-girlfriend’s party, turned up to the event with childhood pal Ryan Butler and another friend in his distinctive, Cheetah print Audi R8.
Once there the 19-year-old met up with longtime friend Jaden Smith, 15, who was at the event with another young actor Dylan O’Brien, one of the main stars of Teen Wolf.
Remarkably, Bieber chose to forgo his usual leather drop-crotch pants ensemble and instead wore a green college varsity jacket teamed with black jeans, T-shirt and white high-top trainers.
And, of course, that red rose.
The former teen sweethearts have remained friends despite a stormy three-year relationship that has seen them break up and reunite many times since their initial split in November 2012.
Despite recently confirming that she and Bieber are not dating, Gomez declared her affection for her ex-beau during an appearance on Good Morning America on Friday.
After performing songs including “Come and Get It,” and “Birthday” from her just released new LP Stars Dance, the starlet replied to a question from GMA’s hosts about her friendship with Bieber, saying:
That’s because he and I have had such a history together and I’ll always care about him and protect him if anybody tries to be mean.”
In addition, earlier this week the Spring Breakers actress abruptly ended a satellite interview after she was bombarded with Bieber questions by a reporter.
Although the Bieb’s presence at her party will reignite speculation that Jelena could reunite down the line, the brunette recently said the media read more into their occasional get-together’s than was warranted.
“I think they do kind of blow it up in a way and I do think they want to have something to talk about, so that’s the easy thing to do,” Gomez told the Associated press. I’ve known him for a really long time and we enjoy each other’s company every now and then.”
“But I’m definitely single and enjoying being that,” she added.
Among the female guests at the party was Julianne Hough who invited Gomez to her 25th birthday celebrations last weekend.
Along with other gypsy-clad gals including actress Ashley Benson and The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev, they traveled to the throwdown in a party bus amid shout-outs on Instagram.
It’s been a dramatic week for both Gomez and Bieber in different ways and for different reasons.
But it seems that despite the ever-present tongue-wagging about their relationship, they were able to put all aside and come together for an important moment in her life.
According to sources, the pair reportedly left the bash together around 2 am, holding hands.
