Aubrey Plaza Movie ‘The To Do List’ Opens This Week [Video]

Aubrey Plaza’s new movie The To Do List opens this weekend.

The actress, best known for her role on the television show Parks And Recreations, changes gear for this raunchy teen comedy. Plaza plays a high school graduate who wants to check a few things off of her sexual to do list before going to college.

Plaza, who is now 29, is a few years past the awkwardness of her teenage years (Yahoo News notes that all of the high school kids are played by actors in their late 20s and 30s for comedic purposes) but that doesn’t meant that she was comfortable with all of the sex scenes in the movie.

Plaza recently told Conan O’Brien that she had to masturbate on camera for the new film.

Plaza said: “I read it on the page, ‘Brandi masturabates’ and in my head I envisioned a nice scene where you see my hand just go out of frame…But then when I showed up, the camera was mounted on the ceiling, I was in my underwear and there were a bunch of old guys smoking. You know, the crew guys!…and then I went and touched myself.”

The To Do List, which opens this weekend, was written and directed by Maggie Carey. Carey’s husband Bill Hader stars alongside Aubrey Plaza in the new movie.
