Sara Bareilles New Album Debuts At No. 2
Sara Bareilles latest album “The Blessed Unrest” debuted at No.2 on the Billboard 200 Chart.
The singer-songwriter’s album should sell around 65,000 copies by the end of the week, according to Billboard, placing Bareilles’ latest effort just below Jay Z’s latest album Magna Carta Holy Grail.
Bareilles latest album is gaining some pretty nice reviews but it’s still a slight step down (at least in terms of sales) from her debut album. Kaleidoscope Heart, which was released in 2010, debuted at No.1 with more than 90,000 sales.
Still, it’s not like Bareilles is disappointed.
The singer writes on Facebook: “Damn. The blessed unrest is #2 on Billboard top 200. I’m soooo grateful. Thank you to my incredible fans. Yowza.”
Are you a fan of Sara Bareilles? Have you heard her new album?
The Daily Herald writes: “Bareilles knows how to craft a great song. She doesn’t rely on hooks to grab you in; it’s her lyrics — and that rich tone in her voice she lets out near the song’s end. “Manhattan” is a slow classic and “Satellite Call” is layered with sounds and vocals, coming off like a Coldplay and OneRepublic mashup.”
Here’s a video of the singer talking about her new music video for King Of Anything.
If that’s not enough for your Sara Bareilles fix, here’s another video of the singer on Craig Ferguson.
