Actress Sandra Bullock is alone and being whipped through space in the new Gravity trailer.
Bullock stars in the Alfonso Cuaron directed movie alongside Hollywood A-lister George Clooney.
The sci-fi movie surrounded two astronauts are are sent into the deepest, darkest depths of the universe. Here’s the full synopsis:
“Dr. Ryan Stone (Bullock) is on her first Space Shuttle mission and is accompanied by veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (Clooney), who is in command of the shuttle due to it being his last flight. During a spacewalk , space debris crash into the space shuttle, which leaves it almost destroyed, leaving them stranded in space and alone in spacesuits with limited breathable oxygen. They have no communication from Earth thus forcing them to cooperate by themselves.”
Gravity bounced around Hollywood for a while after Cuarón wrote the screenplay with his son Jonás. The father-son pair attempted to develop the movie at Universal Picture, but ultimately the rights were sold off to Warner Bros.
Sandra Bullock almost didn’t appear in the film, which originally was set to feature Robert Downey Jr.
Scarlett Johansson and Blake Lively were in line for the role, but ultimately Bullock and Clooney were chosen to lead the flick.
Gravity will hit theaters nationwide on October 4, 2013. The movie will also be released in 3D and iMax 3D.
