Snooki Tells Jersey Shore Town ‘Get Over Yourselves’

Snooki may owe her fame to the Jersey Shore, but the reality star doesn’t have any love for one town that’s getting in the way of her career.

The star of MTV’s Jersey Shore, also known as Nicole Polizzi, recently called out residents of Pelican Island after the small beach community took action to stop filming the new season of her latest show, Snooki & JWoww.

More than 40 people showed up to a meeting of the Pelican Island Property Owners Association meeting to discuss how they could stop Snooki from filming, concerned that the show could interfere with rebuilding efforts after last year’s Superstorm Sandy.

The development didn’t leave Snooki too happy, as she posted a screen shot of Sunday’s NJ.com on Instagram with this message:

“Adults are trying to ban my son, fiancé and I from enjoying our summer at the shore. Grow up, get over yourself and move on. This is not how we should be treating one another. Absolutely sick and very sad. I pray for you. There’s much bigger things to worry about in life than trying to ban my family from your neighborhood.”

Residents say they are worried about the association that comes with Snooki and the hard-partying Jersey Shore cast.

“We have nothing against free enterprise or anything like that,” Ed Hoffman, who is still displaced from his home on Pelican Island, told the Ledger. “But you have to have concerns about where this is going to take place. It’s going to take place in a residential neighborhood and it’s going to be overwhelming to the residents.”

But Snooki isn’t exactly the same person she was while on the show. She is now a mother, and even took time out recently to write some advice to new mom Kate Middleton.

“I am sure you are prepared for your life to totally change, even more than it already has, Snooki writes to the Duchess of Cambridge. “In the beginning, right when you take your royal golden nugget home to the castle is the most exciting experience of your life. I couldn’t wait to wake up in the middle of the night to take care of my little prince Lorenzo.”

Snooki added, “That lasts for about a few days. Then it’s like, ‘I love you but OMG stop crying! I’m exhausted.’ The lack of sleep you will get used to, just do your makeup, put a tiara on, and you’ll look beautiful as usual.”

Snooky may have more time for her little one, Lorenzo, if she’s not spending time at Pelican Island this summer.
