Dwyane Wade and his ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches have finally agreed on a financial divorce settlement.
TMZ reports that Wade provided a “very generous settlement” to his ex while the Chicago Suntimes pinpoints the number at $5 million.
Wade and Funches have been in and out of court for the last 6 years. Wade filed for divorce from Funches in 2007. After four years, he won full custody of his two children but the two continued to battle in court about money.
Dwyane Wade’s divorce from his ex has had its fair share of drama. Funches was arrested last year for attempted child abduction after she allegedly violated her visitation agreement with the NBA star. But most bizarre incident occurred earlier this week when Funches protested outside of a Chicago court house claiming that she was homeless.
Funches sat with a sign that read: “NBA Miami Heat star, mother of his children on the streets.”
Wade’s attorney James B Pritkin said : “Ms. Funches has made a mockery of homelessness which is a serious and personal issue for Mr. Wade as his mother was homeless for a period of time when he was a child.”
Pritkin insists that Wade has been providing Funches with $25,000 a month to pay for her mortgage, cars, and other expenses.
Dwyane Wade and his ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches have finally agreed on a financial divorce settlement but that doesn’t mean that their days in court are over. Funches, who lost visitation rights after her arrest last year, is hoping that a judge allows her to see her children again.
