The Captain America sequel is getting some buzz. Press that button for video from the Captain America: The Winter Soldier press conference panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2013.

You can see that Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, and more have gathered to answer questions from fans at a press conference about the upcoming Captain America sequel where the superhero played by Evans enters the modern world.

Among other things, Evans fielded a question about what it’s like being the classic hero. As you’ll see, he felt a bit challenged by Captain America’s Boy Scout nature.

“Most complex characters have flaws,” Evans noted, before going on to explain that the sequel will be more modern and deal with more shades of gray.

He also vented about one-note humor that suggested the superhero was still amazed by such things as the internet. Don’t expect that nonsense in the new film.

Captain America “gets it,” Evans said. “He has a cell phone.”

When asked what she brought as a woman to Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Johansson said: “Glamor.” After the pause for polite laughter, she added that the role gave her chance to act instead of just to pose.

Before his appearance at CC 2013, Chris Evans had posted a short tweet which addressed an issue facing the real America, the glamorization of 19-year-old accused Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, whose pretty face was recently the cover of Rolling Stone magazine :

At Comic-Con, Evans explained the tweet in more detail to music writer Chris Talbott:

“The problem is putting him on the cover in that picture in that light, it glorified him. There’s no two ways about it. He looked great.

“Show his mug shot, show something else that kind of doesn’t make it look so fantastic to do such a horrible thing.”
