Kanye West Clashes With Paparazzi at Los Angeles Airport [Video]

Kanye West has been filmed scuffling with a paparazzo at Los Angeles airport.

Police are investigating reports of the Friday afternoon (July 19) incident between the rapper and a photographer at LAX.

The airport is favorite haunt for paparazzi who routinely gather there to snap celebrities arriving and leaving.

A number of witnesses have been interviewed regarding West’s clash with a paparazzo to compile a report for detectives to investigate, LAX Police Sgt. Steve Savala said.

Gossip website TMZ posted a one-minute video online that showed the Atlanta star surrounded by paps as he attempted to get into a white Mercedes Benz waiting at a pickup point.

At one point in the video West can clearly be answering some sort of query and accusing the pap of trying to provoke him as he says, “so I have to pay you, like, $250,000.”

After this exchange, the 36-year-old new father is seen lunging at a photographer’s camera before trying to wrestle it away.

West’s scuffle with the paparazzo lasted around 10 seconds.

During it, the paparazzo dropped to the ground then quickly stood up and ran toward the terminal.

By that time, West had already climbed into his Mercedes.

According to TMZ, the paparazzo allegedly needed hospital treatment following his encounter with West.

The rapper isn’t the only one in his household to have issues with the often aggressive tactics of paparazzi.

Kim Kardashian, his girlfriend and mother of their first child, North West, previously accused paps of posing a threat to the life of her unborn child while she was pregnant when they jostled her to take snaps.

More recently, the reality-show star broke her post-giving birth silence to post a message on her blog on Wednesday.

She wrote: “These past couple of weeks have been filled with the most exciting experiences of my life. I’m enjoying this time to fully embrace motherhood and spend time at home with my family.

“I’ve been reading all of your messages and want to thank you for your sweet thoughts and best wishes. It truly means everything to me. I am so blessed to have the support of my family and fans in this beautiful moment.”

West recently bagged his sixth number one in the UK with Yeezus, his latest, most experimental album to date.
