Sony To Debut Google TV Integrated Bravia Line On October 12
An invitation was sent out to the press tonight inviting them to join the Sony unveiling of their Google-TV-capable Bravia line. The invitation points to one model which will be the “first Internet Television” integrated with Google TV, unfortunately very few other details have been given at this time.
Electronista is reporting that most of the features for the television are expected to come from Google, features from the Google TV platform that includes “live searching of both the web and supported set-top boxes, such as the programming guide and the DVR.”
The system is also expected to run Google Android and allow for third-party apps with a full Google Chrome browser setup that includes flash support.
Sony will be the first company to offer full Google TV integration, although Logitech and Dish Network are also expected to release their own offerings in the near future.
