‘Unstoppable’ Kirk Cameron Film Banned From Facebook? Actor Claims His Movie Has Been Blocked

Unstoppable, the new Kirk Cameron film, apparently got stopped by this morning on Facebook. The social network reportedly thought that the movie’s posts were too “spammy” and decided to block the new film.

Cameron wrote on Facebook: “Facebook has officially “blocked” me and you (and everyone else) from posting any link to my new movie at UnstoppableTheMovieDOTcom, labeling the content as “abusive”, “unsafe”, and “spammy”! I can’t even write the real link here, or Facebook would block this post too!!”

Cameron asked his followers to try posting the link for themselves so that they can see how Facebook is blocking his movie.

The Facebook post reads:”Try to post it yourself and see! We have been officially shut down by Facebook and unable to get any response from them. This is my most personal film about faith, hope, and love, and about why God allows bad things to happen to good people. What is “abusive” or “unsafe” about that?! Please help us encourage Facebook to unblock our website soon by sharing this post with your friends so more people can see this transparent, faith-building project.”

But did Facebook really block Kirk Cameron’s film Unstoppable? Several of Cameron’s followers posted the link to the movie without a problem.

So either Kirk Cameron is lying and creating a controversy in order to get people talking about his movie, or Facebook has fixed the problem and has unmarked the website as “spammy.”

Kirk Cameron hasn’t commented on the Unstoppable Facebook controversy yet. Probably because there wasn’t any controversy to begin with. What do you think? Is this a marketing play for the new film? Did Cameron deceive his fans?

Cameron rose to fame in the 1980s playing Michael Seaver on the show Growing Pains. He is now a well known evangelist and Christian producer. His latest film, Unstoppable, tries to answer the question: “Where is God in the midst of tragedy and suffering?”

The movie hits theaters on September 24 for one night only.
