iPhone 5 Upgrade: New Rumors Point To Major Improvements, Production Delay
The iPhone 5 will soon be replaced by Apple’s next-generation product the iPhone 5S. Photos of the new phone have already leaked to the internet and a new rumor reportedly details the full specs of the new phone.
According to BGR, the iPhone 5S rumors point to the “biggest hardware upgrade ever for an ‘S’ device.”
The new iPhone will reportedly feature a faster processor, a 12-megapixel camera, a dual-LED flash and an upgraded LTE radio.
The phone will also reportedly include the frequently discussed fingerprint scanner.
BGR writes: “Highlights include a 4-inch IGZO display with the same Retina resolution as the iPhone 5, an A6 processor clocked a bit faster than the current model, quad-core SGX 554MP4 graphics, 2GB of RAM and an upgraded LTE radio.”
CNET contradicts part of BRG’s report writing that the new iPhone 5 will have a larger 4.3 inch screen. The website also notes that production may have been delayed due to the screen size change.
The iPhone 5’s biggest rival, the Samsung Galaxy S4, uses a 5 inch screen.
A previous report pointed to an October release date for the iPhone 5S but if the screen size rumor is true Apple may not release its new phone until the end of the year.
Here’s a reported photo of the new iPhone 5s.
