Chris Hemsworth’s ‘Rush’ Lands Another Trailer [Video]
The second trailer for the Chris Hemsworth racing flick Rush is now circulating online.
Written by Peter Morgan and directed by Ron Howard, the movie tells the story of professional Formula One champion driver Niki Lauda and the 1976 crash that nearly ended his career and his life. However, Lauda climbed behind the wheel weeks later to challenge his rival James Hunt.
Chris Hemsworth will tackle the role of James Hunt in the upcoming biopic while Daniel Bruhl will portray Niki Lauda. The film is set to arrive in North American theaters on September 27.
Universal Pictures describes the film as follows:
Set against the glamorous golden age of Formula One racing, ‘Rush’ portrays the exhilarating true story of two of the greatest rivals the world has ever witnessed — handsome English playboy Hunt and his methodical, brilliant opponent Lauda. Taking us into their personal lives on and off the track, ‘Rush’ follows the two drivers as they push themselves to the breaking point of physical and psychological endurance, where there is no shortcut to victory and no margin for error. If you make one mistake, you die.
In addition to Hemsworth and Bruhl, Rush features Olivia Wilde, Alexandra Maria Lara, Stephen Mangan, Christian McKay, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Jamie de Courcey, Pierfrancesco Favino, and Natalie Dormer.
The Ron Howard racing drama isn’t the only flick Chris Hemsworth currently has waiting in the wings. The Australian actor will also star in Game of Thrones director Alan Taylor’s Thor: The Dark World. The next installment of Marvel’s franchise will hit cinemas on November 8.
Hemsworth appears to be a very busy man these days. If these projects weren’t enough to keep him busy, the actor is also attached to Michael Mann’s Cyber and Snow White and the Huntsman 2. Chances are he will also return for Joss Whedon’s The Avengers 2.
Are you looking forward to catching Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl in Ron Howard’s Rush?
