Florida Woman Blocks McDonald’s Drive-Thru, Demands Free Food

New Port Richey, FL – A Florida woman was arrested after she blocked a McDonald’s drive-thru and demanded free food.

According to authorities, Kimberly Womack, 34, created a public disturbance, initially over two Big Macs. She intentionally blocked the McDonald’s drive-thru at the New Port Richey fast food location because the employees refused to service the customer’s demands.

Womack ventured through the McDonald’s drive-thru early Sunday morning around 6 am and demanded two free Big Macs, citing her dissatisfaction with the ones she’d eaten previously, reports the Huffington Post.

Because McDonald’s was serving breakfast, they were unable to accommodate Womack’s request. Isn’t that just the case? I can never seem to get there for breakfast, always missing it by mere minutes.

In an effort to compromise, Womack demanded two free Egg McMuffins instead.

The employees working the McDonald’s drive-thru declined and told the woman she needed to leave. In turn Womack refused to go, according to Tampa Bay news affiliate WTSP.

Womack remained in the lane, blocking the drive-thru until the police arrived 10 minutes later. When approached by officers, Womack explained that her rights were being violated because McDonald’s refused to give her free food.

The woman was arrested and charged with a DUI after officers detected the smell of alcohol on her breath. When asked the time, Womack responded, thinking it was close to 4 am.

Subsequent blood tests confirmed her blood alcohol content to be.108. By.10 a person is considered significantly impaired and has exceeded the legal limit to drive.

Additionally, the McDonald’s drive-thru suspect revealed she took Klonopin (clonazepam) – an anti-anxiety medication. The use of alcohol is cautioned with Klonopin as it can further increase the depressant effects of alcohol.

Womack was later released on her own recognizance.
