Justin Bieber’s New Tattoo? Mom’s Eye On You Kid
Justin Bieber has a new tattoo. A female eye design.
It’s a tribute to his mother, Pattie Mallette, and represents her eye even though it’s not a replica.
Sited on Bieber’s inner, upper left arm above his “Believe” tattoo, which was inked to celebrate the June release of his same name 2012 album — in total, the singer has 17 designs on his body.
The singer’s new inking was done by Bang Bang, also known as Keith McCurdy.
Considered the celebrity world’s tattooist of choice, he operates out of a Lower East Side parlor in Manhattan.
Bieber actually tattooed Bang Bang on one occasion.
Illegally mind, but the star inker allows all his clients do it.
The tat was meant to read “Swaggy” but McCurdy insists it says “Swassy.”
The Canadian’s previous tattoos — a castle surrounded by stormy waves, have at it psych majors — was first seen when he exited the Laugh Factory comedy club in L.A. to paparazzi mayhem last month.
The 19-year-old has a knight and three other tattoos — a Koi carp, a tiger, and an angel — that many think resembles his now back-on girlfriend Selena Gomez.
The Christian teen also has numerous versions of word “Jesus” and related imagery, a crown, owl, his mother’s birth date in Roman numerals, an Indian head logo, and a seagull inked on his hip.
As previously mused, most of Bieber’s tattoos appear to mean something personal to the singer.
So, does the singer feel he needs his mother’s eye as some form of protection?
The star has just teased his new single “Heartbreaker” in an ad for his latest fragrance, The Key — is he waiting nervously for good, bad, and possibly ugly reviews?
He was also recently advised by Bill Clinton to be mindful of the company he keeps, after video of him urinating into a janitorial mop bucket before cursing a photo of the former president somehow found its way to TMZ.
Then, there’s the latest squall to hit Team Bieber.
An accusation by a Columbus, Ohio deejay that the singer spit in his face after he was suspected of taking pictures of the pop star.
The claim has been shot down by a firsthand witness at the club and angrily denied by the singer’s rep, who called the deejay: “Another person looking for a paycheck in the witch hunt which at this point is just out of control.”
So, is Bieber hoping his mom’s “eye” will alert him to possibly publicity seeking accusers?
He certainly wants her to watch out for something.
“@bangbangnyc did this art,” the embattled pop star wrote, along with a snap of his newly-tattooed arm. “Moms always watching. )”
Lets hope so kid.
