Hugh Jackman’s Wife Possibly Turned Off By ‘Wolverine’ Physique

Though many women (and some men) go wild at the sight of Hugh Jackman without his shirt on, the Australian actor’s wife isn’t terribly fond of her hubby’s chiseled and bulky Wolverine physique.

She also doesn’t like other women staring at Jackman’s bod (way more understandable).

“Deb will tell you that she doesn’t like it. She prefers me chubby because it makes her look better,” the 44-year-old actor said.

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have been married since 1996 and have two children together: 13-year-old Oscar Maximillian and 8-year-old Ava Eliot.

Jackman did express some doubt over his wife’s claims, saying that he had a similar look when they first met and credited his physique for their early chemistry.

“I don’t know. I met her on a prison drama where I was pretty jacked in that, and I dare say we wouldn’t be together if I hadn’t met her with that body.”

She’s probably just getting tired of all the attention your bod gets now, Hugh.

But Jackman seems like he just wants a little appreciation from his partner for his hard work. He admitted to pushing harder than he ever has to achieve his physique forThe Wolverine. He even dehydrated himself before a fight scene, which was slightly more dangerous for his co-stars than for him.

“I had the real claws on; he had the sword, and it was very precise. I’m very clumsy. I’ve stabbed more than one person playing this part… I was glad to walk away from that one [without any accidents],” he said.
