‘Man Of Steel’, ‘The Heat’ Lead Third Wave Of Teen Choice Awards Nominations
Man of Steel and The Heat lead the third and final wave of nominations for the Teen Choice Awards 2013 it was announced on Tuesday.
The two films lead the way with five nominations a piece followed by the cable drama The Fosters with four nods.
Man of Steel is the No. 2 movie at the box office in the US this summer and Sandra Bullock’s action comedy The Heat made $40 million on its opening weekend.
Man of Steel will face off against Fast and Furious 6, White House Down, World War Z, and Pacific Rim.
Zack Snyder’s reboot also got Henry Cavill (Superman) and Amy Adams (Lois Lane) nominations in the Male and Female Summer Movie Stars categories respectively.
Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy also received nods for The Heat. The pair earned a Choice Movie Chemistry nod and McCarthy received a shot at favorite Hissy Fit.
Man of Steel and The Heat are fan favorites this summer, but they have tough competition with The Rock, Channing Tatum, and other heavy hitters.
Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s real love affair may be over, but the pair was nominated for Best Lip-Lock for the Twilight finale Breaking Dawn Part 2.
Some celebrities who will be attending are Lucy Hale, Ian Somerhalder, Laura Marano, Leven Rambin, Abigail Breslin, Demi Lovato, Liam Hemsworth, and Rebel Wilson.
