‘Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’: New Trailer Celebrates A Pirate’s Life [Video]
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has dropped a new trailer celebrating a pirate’s life!
It’s that time again. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is hitting the social media once again, and this time Ubisoft is celebrating a pirate’s life alongside the announcement of a new Limited Edition of the game.
Previously, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag showed us a bit of the sea-borne exploration and naval combat involved in Ubisoft’s next game in the saga. Desmond Miles won’t have a physical presence in this game, as Ubisoft realized that his gameplay segments really just broke up the feeling of immersion in previous games. Nobody really liked the Desmond Miles sections, and they really didn’t do much to further the plot of the game we actually cared about.
Initially, Desmond Miles was a bartender, kidnapped by Abstergo and forced to play the most interactive and immersive video game ever invented (the lucky devil). The goal, as they claimed it, was to use Desmond’s memories to find the artifacts of Eden, where apparently humanity was once slaves to a superior race. While the Templars are obsessed with finding the source of that race’s power and using it to their advantage, the Assassins fight to keep humanity free of such things.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has Desmond Miles now in the shoes of Edward Kenway, a British pirate and great grandfather of Connor, the Native American assassin involved in the US Civil War in Assassin’s Creed III.
The Limited Edition of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag includes an 18 inch Assassin statue featuring Edward Kenway, an embroidered pirate flag bearing the Assassin standard, an 80 page art book, a steel-book game case, and a full copy of the game’s soundtrack. If previous Assassin’s Creed games are anything to go by, it might also include bonus content or a season pass giving you free access to DLC for a year. This version of the game will cost $129.99 and is available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC through pre-order.
