‘Honey Boo Boo’ Vs ‘Cake Boss’ On Family Fued
The cast of Honey Boo Boo and Cake Boss will face off on Family Feud. The special episode will begin taping in Atlanta on July 22.
Contestants from Here Comes Honey Boo Boo will include Mama June, Pumpkin, Chickadee, Chubbs, Sugar Bear, and Alana (Honey Boo Boo.) Representing the Cake Boss clan will be Buddy, Maddalena, Lisa, Mary, and Elisabetta.
As reported by Variety, the episode will be included in Family Feud’s new season, which will begin airing in September. Current host Steve Harvey will be hosting the special episode.
The second season of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo will begin on Wednesday, to the delight of anxious fans. Alana and her mother June were previously featured on Toddlers & Tiaras. Their unique personalities eventually earned them their own reality show, which features their entire family.
The show highlights the family’s unconventional lifestyle and Alana’s continued participation in child beauty pageants. Although the entire family has been criticized for lacking class and boundaries, their unconditional love and devotion is endearing.
Cake Boss follows the employees of Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, New Jersey. Episodes document the preparation of unique and elaborate cakes for weddings, birthday parties, and other special events.
As the employees are often under time constraints, stress and drama are part of the job.
As reported by IMDB, Cake boss began airing in 2009, and is currently airing its fifth season.
Both reality programs air on TLC.
Family Feud debuted in 1976, and was originally hosted by Richard Dawson. The program includes two five-person teams, often families, who compete for cash prizes.
As reported by About.com, the families are tasked with providing answers to questions of opinion. The object of the game is to guess the most popular answers as determined by a survey panel of 100 people.
Honey Boo Boo and her family will face off with the cast of Cake Boss this fall. Their winnings will be donated to a charity of their choice.
