Cristiano Ronaldo Receives Praise From Real Madrid President
Cristiano Ronaldo is always the talk of the transfer season each summer, but Real Madrid is looking to move forward with their “star attraction.” Club president Florentino Perez recently opened up about his 28-year-old striker, who he believes can be the “best in the world.”
Perez has taken criticism over the years for the club’s decisions, but bringing in Ronaldo in 2009 was nothing short of a masterful move. Ronaldo is widely considered the second best footballer in the world next to Lionel Messi, but Perez has recently said that the Portuguese star is as talented as anyone in the game.
“He is the face of the team and the best player in the world,” Perez told Gol Caracol on Friday, according to goal.com. “He is going to give us much more satisfaction for his talent, ambition and enthusiasm; and now he has reached a perfect relationship with the fans.”
It’s hard to disagree with Perez as Ronaldo has continually overshadowed his critics through his play on the pitch. Real Madrid fell short of Champions League glory last season, but Cristiano Ronaldo’s impact at the club hasn’t been the question.
His success on the pitch has led to even greater fame in his daily life. Outside of his lucrative sponsorship deals, Ronaldo also has one of the largest social media followings next to Justin Bieber.
“We are yet to see the best of him,” Perez added. “He can be the best of all time.”
Carlo Ancelotti has taken over for Jose Mourinho who returned to Chelsea FC in the Premier League. His job won’t be an easy one as winning titles is the key to success and rival Barcelona is getting stronger by the minute. Neymar and Messi will take the pitch together next season, which will be a tough combo to stop for Real Madrid.
Can Cristiano Ronaldo lead the Meringues back to the top of La Liga this coming season?
