Casting Call For New ‘Dracula’ Movie In Northern Ireland
The new Dracula movie which will begin filming in Northern Ireland is having a casting call.
The film is not your typical Dracula film, which shows the prince of darkness sucking the blood from unsuspecting females while they sleep, this time we will see how Prince Vlad (Dracula) became a vampire using vampire mythology combined with the true story of the Impaler.
This new film depicts Dracula as a flawed hero with a tragic love story set in a time of war and magic.
Dracula will star Luke Evans (The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Fast and Furious 6) in the titular role, Dominic Cooper (Sense and Sensibility, Mamma Mia!), Sarah Gadon (Cosmopolis) and recently cast Zack McGowan.
Universal Studios has put out an urgent casting call for extras as production starts shortly. On Locations Vacations is reporting that the studio is in need of extras who are based in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland for the movie.
The casting call for Dracula asks for men above the age of 18 of all ethnicities who are olive/swarthy skinned but has also explicitly asked for no fake tans. The extras will appear as a part of the Ottoman Army and will be featured in exciting action and battle sequences.
All extras will be paid for their work and can expect to be called between now and November. The requests adds,
“We would also like to take this opportunity to ask you to grow your hair and your facial hair from NOW, but be prepared to have it cut or styled or shaved if your role requires it.”
Luke Evans has shared on his Twitter account that he is on his way to Belfast to begin shooting his first major role as the lead.
Final day in Middle Earth. Tomorrow, to Transylvania.
