Is there something in the water in the Big Brother house this season?
A third contestant on Big Brother 15 has been caught on the live feed making offensive comments.
As we have previously reported , Big Brother contestants Aaryn Gries and GinaMarie Zimmerman have been fired from their modeling jobs after they were filmed using racial slurs on the CBS summer reality show.
Now Spencer Clawson may also be in hot water in terms of job security. According to TMZ , the Arkansas railroad conductor “has been captured on BB cams calling one houseguest ‘Kermit the F**’ and praising Hitler as a gifted speaker.”
Contestants enter the Big Brother competition — now into season 15 — with full knowledge that cameras will follow them 24-7.
Clawson’s employer, Union Pacific, posted the following statement on its website to evidently distance itself from the Big Brother contestant: “The values represented by Spencer Clawson’s comments during the Big Brother show do not at all align with Union Pacific’s values. Mr. Clawson is on unpaid leave of absence while participating on Big Brother . Union Pacific does not condone his comments. Union Pacific is acting in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreement terms regarding Mr. Clawson.”
In the promotional video embedded above, Clawson, 31, refers to himself as a “likeable dude” who is good at talking to people, but is apparently also no stranger to “locker room talk.” He also aspires to self employment in real estate, so who knows?
At the time of the earlier Gries/Zimmerman controversy, CBS released the following statement : “ Big Brother is a reality show about watching a group of people who have no privacy 24/7 — and seeing every moment of their lives. At times, the Houseguests reveal prejudices and other beliefs that we do not condone. We certainly find the statements made by several of the Houseguests on the live Internet feed to be offensive. Any views or opinions expressed in personal commentary by a Houseguest appearing on Big Brother , either on any live feed from the House or during the broadcast, are those of the individual(s) speaking and do not represent the views or opinions of CBS or the producers of the program.”
Big Brother 15 premiered on June 26 and is scheduled to conclude on September 18 when a winner will be chosen.
Apart from what action their employers may or may not take, do you think contestants should be evicted from the Big Brother house for objectionable comments?
