Avril Lavigne And Chad Kroeger Get Married In France
Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger are married.
Rumors circulated over the weekend that Lavigne and Kroeger were getting married but People Magazine reports that the musical couple didn’t officially tie the knot until last night. The couple apparently wanted to get married on Canada Day in honor of their native country.
That doesn’t mean, however, that Lavigne and Kroeger traveled back to their homeland for the marriage ceremony. Nope, the celebrity couple got married on Monday night in the south of France.
Back in September, Kroeger said July 1 had special meaning to the couple. In addition to being Canada Day, it is also the day that they started dating.
Kroeger said: “We met while recording music in March. But we started dating July 1, so I’ll let the math speak for itself there. We think it’s very cool that our anniversary will always be on Canada Day. We can’t wait to start our life together. We’re very happy.”
US Magazine reports that the three day celebration started on Saturday night and concluded on Canada with a wedding ceremony.
A source told the magazine: “Yes, they’re married … It was a wild, all-night party with drinking, dancing, incredible food and lots of laughter and tears of happiness.”
Lavigne and Kroeger haven’t commented on their marriage yet but several photos of Avril in her wedding dress have popped up online.
