Mark Sanchez made his acting debut this week in the soon-to-be award winning silent film ButtFumble.
OK, so Sanchez isn’t exactly acting in the new short film and ButtFumble (which is actually titled An Unfortunate End ) may not win any awards but it is still an instant internet classic.
The new viral video focuses on the most embarrassing play of the 2012 season .
You know the one. The one that happened on Thanksgiving in front of a national audience. The one where Mark Sanchez tried to scramble. The one where the New York Jets quarterback ran into his own lineman’s butt, fell over, and fumbled the ball. The one where New England Patriots safety Steve Gregory picked up an easy fumble and laughed as he ran 32 yards for a touchdown.
Yeah, that play. The buttfumble play.
The QB said at the time : “I guess [I was] more stunned than anything. Just like a car accident. I was like, ‘Whoa. What just happened?’ Then, the ball’s gone. It was weird … It’s embarrassing. You screw up the play, and I’m trying to do the right thing. It’s not like I’m trying to force something. I start to slide, and I slide right in the worst spot I possibly could: right into Brandon Moore.”
Mark Sanchez had an abysmal 2012 season which can pretty much be summed up by that one play. And now, instead of watching short little gifs or game replays, football fans can enjoy the most embarrassing play of 2012 as a silent movie.
So, without further ado, here’s is An Unfortunate End.
