Avril Lavigne’s Wedding To Chad Kroeger Is Today
Avril Lavigne’s wedding to Nickleback singer Chad Kroeger is happening today (Monday) in the South of France.
The story of how they met, and Chad’s subsequent romantic proposal to Avril, is a touching one. The couple met when Avril started recording her fifth album.
Her latest album is still a work in progress. It has so many tracks in it that Avril is considering splitting it into two separate albums for release.
Lavigne said, back on April 9th in an interview with Ryan Seacrest, that it was important for her to write her own songs:
“I’m actually still in the studio, I’m still making my record. I still have one more song left to write that I’m going to do by myself, because I love to do that, it’s important for me.”
The romance moved very quickly from dating to engagement as Chad proposed to Avril only one month after they started dating. Not to mention with the huge 14-carat diamond he proposed with, theirs is truly a love story.
Avril Lavigne made her strong feelings for Chad abundantly clear when she said recently:
“I feel most beautiful when I’m around Chad. He makes me feel so beautiful, and I’m not one who really dresses up that much.” Chad Kroeger also spoke warmly about his wife to be when he said:
“You can travel the world and sing songs to thousands of people and not have your heartbeat raised at all. You get down on one knee and commit yourself to a woman for the rest of your life. I was very nervous!”
Thankfully, Chad’s nerves didn’t get the better of him, and today’s extravagant South of France wedding are sure to testify to that. Avril has requested that no pictures emerge until sometime after the event as she wants to keep it a private affair for now.
