Johnny Depp And Armie Hammer Open To ‘The Lone Ranger’ Sequel
Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer have shown their interests in coming back for a sequel to The Lone Ranger. The duo recently worked together on the first film which hits theaters on July 3.
“I’m signed for three,” Hammer said, according to E! News. “So if there is another one, it would be lovely to be in it but you never know. Hopefully, fingers crossed.”
Once the film releases, first week sales should be able to prove the worth of a possible sequel. No matter how it all pans out, both stars are interested in working with each other again.
Depp, unlike Hammer, was under the impression that the first film was a “one-shot deal,” but he also noted that he’d go for another if given the chance.
“If they started talking sequel on this I’d be ready to go in a second,” Depp added.
The cast worked very well together on the set while Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer had a blast starring next to each other.
“He was great, so funny to work with,” Depp said about his co-star. “We had a good time. The most trouble we had was keeping a straight face.”
The Western flick is sure to be a fun one as anything with Depp is usually as interesting as it gets. The duo worked very well together during filming and they’re both excited about its release.
The film’s success at the box office could very well determine its future with another sequel or two. In the meantime, both actors are currently promoting the film while preparing for other works. Depp is set to star in the Red Riding Hood flick, Into the Woods, in 2014 while Hammer has signed on for The Man from U.N.C.L.E. next to co-star Henry Cavill.
