‘Breaking Bad’ Beer Probably Won’t Have Crystal Meth In It
A Breaking Bad beer is going to be released to coincide with the release of the second half of its final season.
Marble Brewery, an Albuquerque-based brewery company, has decided to create the beverage as a tribute to the show that is coming towards its final series.
Heisenberg’s Dark, is an India Black Ale, that is named after Bryan Cranston’s Walter White’s drug dealing alter-ego. Marble Brewery has been used as a location for the show in the past, whilst the announcement was made via Breaking Bad Location’s Instagram feed.
It is still unknown whether or not the beer will be released in time for the show’s final eight episodes, which will begin on August 11.
This isn’t the first time that an alcoholic drink has been created in homage to a TV show. Game Of Thrones had a entire line of Ommegang beers made to honor the show, whilst It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia also had the Stone Brewing company make a beverage in their honor.
Earlier this week it was announced that Downton Abbey would get its own “vintage” drink, which would be distributed by Wines that Rock.
Meanwhile, Vincent Galligan, the show’s creator and lead writer, has stated that its final eight episodes will satisfy devoted fans of the AMC series.
Gilligan noted, “We worked long and hard to ensure that these final eight — and, in fact, the very last episode — would satisfy an audience. I am guardedly optimistic that we have achieved just that … I feel good about where it all.”
He also added, “We’ve got some stuff that I think is going to be truly satisfying and truly shocking and jarring. It does not always center on moments of violence … You need to really settle down on the couch and pay close attention because it’s going to come at you fast and furious in the final eight episodes.”
