Kate Middleton’s due date might actually be sooner than July 13 .
An expectant Kate Middleton could very well be following in Princess Diana’s footsteps when it comes sharing her due date with the world.
In 1982, Prince William’s mother announced that her baby was due on her birthday, July 1, but surprised the world 10 days earlier when he arrived on June 21.
Kate has already said that she will give birth in the same hospital where her husband was born 31 year ago, and now there is speculation that she may have also reported a false due date in order to keep the press at bay.
Back in April, the soon-to-be mom told Glasgow reporters that her little bundle would arrive “around mid-July”, yet acknowledged that due dates aren’t always 100% accurate.
“Babies have their own agenda,” she mused.
According to the Telegraph , the first indication that a royal baby has arrived on the scene, will come when a palace aide leaves St. Mary’s Hospital – where Kate plans to give birth naturally – with a piece of paper detailing baby’s sex and weight, as well as the time of birth. The aide will then hand this notice to a driver, who will take it directly to Buckingham Palace, to be placed on an easel on the forecourt of the palace.
At this time, Kate is sticking close to her husband as the world awaits the arrival of their baby.
“She wants to be near William in the final weeks,” says one insider. “It’s important to her.”
The couple is currently spending time at their home, near William’s Royal Air Force post in Anglesy, Wales. Should Kate go into labour early, there’s an emergency plan in place to have her taken to London via helicopter.
One may argue that Prince William’s arrivals 10 days prior to his due date was merely an case of nature doing what nature does, and not a true act of conspiracy on the part of his mother and the royal family. However, it is easy to understand why the expectant parents may lead the paparazzi astray in order to keep their privacy for as long as possible.
