Lady Gaga Is The Most Powerful Musician In The World, According To Forbes

Lady Gaga has been announced as the most powerful musician in the world after she topped Forbes annual list.

The singer earned $80 million between June 1, 2012 and 2013, and she could have added $30 million to this had she completed her Born This Way Ball tour, which she had to cancel in order to complete hip surgery.

The list measured a celeb’s “money and fame, which includes estimated earnings over the last 12 months, and how often each celebrity is mentioned in print and on TV.”

Forbes came to this conclusion because of her 38 million Twitter followers and 58 million Facebook fans. Beyonce came in at number two, which is mainly because her current, Mrs. Carter World Tour, grosses $2 million per city.

Madonna was number three, whilst Tayor Swift and Bon Jovi completed the top 5. Coldplay managed to feature in the top 10, as their world tour managed to pull in around $3 million per city. Their position was so lofty due to friendship with Beyonce and Jay-Z. Plus the fact that Chris Martin is married to Gwyneth Paltrow also helped.

Tennis star, Roger Federer, film director, Steven Spielberg, entrepeneur, Oprah Winfrey, and comedian/talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres, also featured in Forbes 100 most powerful celebs list.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga’s new album, ARTPOP, which is due out later this year will be “pretty f****** cool,” according to her producer Zedd. The German DJ has been working with the singer on the record, and in an interview with Rolling Stone, confirmed that the pair had taken an “experimental approach” to their music.

He stated, “I’m really, really excited for people to hear what we came up with. I just really can’t imagine they would not like it, to just say it straight up. I think the stuff we’ve made is pretty f****** cool.”
