Trayvon Martin’s Body Shown, Crime Scene Pics Spark Intense Reaction
Images of Trayvon Martin’s body laying in the grass after he was fatally shot by George Zimmerman, who now stands trial for second-degree murder in Florida, were viewed by the jury at the second day of court proceedings.
We don’t know how a jury reacted to the images of Trayvon Martin‘s body, lifeless on the ground and displayed in court today as his parents attended Zimmerman’s trial.
If Twitter is any indication however, the reaction to Martin’s body (images of which we will not be posting out of respect to the teen’s family) will invoke a strong response, as many on the social site have expressed horror at the images.

Another added:

The sentiment appeared to be common, and one Twitter user commented:
“My heart aches for Sabrina Fulton and Tracy Martin. No parent should have to witness this. #TrayvonMartin”
HLN’s Vinnie Politan reported that Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton, parents of the slain teen, left the courtroom as the graphic images of Trayvon Martin’s body were shown:
“#TrayvonMartin parents leave the courtroom at #ZimmermanTrial while pictures of Trayvon’s body are shown to jury….”
Although the graphic images of Trayvon Martin’s body were not aired on many stations, the reaction observed across the social web seems to suggest the images will become an indelible image of the case far after proceedings draw to a close.
