Kanye, Kris Jenner: Is There Baby Mama Mama Drama?

Kanye and Kris Jenner aren’t in-laws (or, as we call them in my family, “outlaws”) just yet — though reports indicate ‘Ye popped the question to daughter North West’s mom Kim Kardashian recently — but it appears Yeezy isn’t afraid to back talk his future mother-in-law.

Do Kanye and Kris Jenner have some baby mama mama drama already? A new addition to the family is always stressful, and we imagine Mr. West isn’t the easiest future son-in-law on the planet — but a new interview in W, detailed in Us Magazine, may have spotted some brewing tension between the ego-tastic rapper and his baby’s mama’s mama.

The exchange was brief and the reporter covering West and Jenner’s interaction certainly inferred a bit, but Kanye is also known to take immediate exception to insults aimed at his unquestionable genius. (And we say this with much love for Kanye’s flow and skills.)

Kanye dropped a new track for Kim K as the couple awaited the birth of baby girl North West, and Yeezy gave a surprise preview to Kris Jenner as the pair hung out in the rapper’s Paris pad. (Kim had already flown home.)

Kanye plays “Amazing,” written for Kim, to Kris who commends the hip-hop star by saying “great job!”

You, me and Kanye can probably spot what went wrong here, but apparently Jenner had just met the man who fathered Kim Kardashian’s spawn.

‘Ye predictably didn’t take the “compliment” well, and snapped:

Great job? Great job, Baccarat, for making a glass that can hold liquid! Great job, belt loops, for keeping my pants up!

Oh, my God, it’s like an episode of South Park!

Jenner still didn’t pick up on Kanye’s annoyance, or at least she didn’t show it, because she replied:

“I love you. You know where to find us, at the [hotel] George V. Call us tomorrow, if you want.”

W writer Christopher Bagley adds:

“It seems apparent to everyone, including Jenner, that West will not call.”

Elsewhere in the piece, Yeezy hit back at rumors he’d been guiding Kim after the pair took up, and says:

“Nobody can tell my girl what to do … She just needed to be given some platforms of information to work from … One beautiful thing is that as she discovers it, the world discovers it. For her to take that risk in front of the world, it just shows you how much she loves me.”
