Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres are looking to unload their Beverly Hills home.
The couple recently purchased a huge mansion in Santa Barbara. Since they’ll soon be moving into their spacious new digs, they no longer need the penthouse in Beverly Hills.
According to Realty Today , Portia de Rossi and Ellen Degeneres listed the home for $899,000. The popular daytime talk show host purchased the penthouse three years ago for around $835,000.
It would seem the couple have made a considerable amount of money since moving in the Beverly Hills home in 2010. Their new mansion in Santa Barbara reportedly cost around $26.5 million. That’s a lot of penthouses.
The listing on Zillow shows Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres’ new home sportgs 10,522 square feet worth of living space. The mansion also includes six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. This is certainly an upgrade from the Beverly Hills penthouse the couple are putting on the market.
Here’s the icing on the proverbial cake: De Rossi and DeGeneres’ Santa Barbara pad sits on 13 acres of land and features a whopping nine fireplaces. The mansion also features an ocean view from its swimming pool. The couple is definitely getting their money’s worth for this one.
The New York Daily News reports the new home is just one of several properties DeGeneres owns in the Los Angeles area. The comedienne also owns houses in Beverly Hills and Hidden Valley, just to name a few.
Although the couple recently spent $26.5 million on a new mansion, Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres recently said they wouldn’t mind living in Australia. According to news.com.au , The Arrested Development star recently returned to her homeland to shoot the upcoming comedy Now Add Honey . The movie will mark the actress’ first Australian-lensed feature in nearly a decade.
The fourth season of De Rossi’s Arrested Development is currently available for streaming on Netflix. If Jason Bateman is to be believed, then the Bluths could return for another batch of episodes in the near future. My fingers are definitely crossed.
What do you think about Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres trading in their Beverly Hills penthouse for a spacious Santa Barbara mansion?
