Justin Timberlake To Perform At BET Awards
Just one more thing that proves he’s taking music back, Justin Timberlake has been announced as a performer at the BET awards. Known for his soulful music, it’s been some time since Timberlake has took the stage of the BET awards.
This year as a whole marks Timberlake’s return to his first passion — music. It also marks his return to the BET stage. The network announced via their Twitter that Timberlake will join what’s looking to be a great list of performers for the BET awards.
Timberlake joins a list of chart topping artists in the BET community including Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Chris Brown, R. Kelly, Kendrick Lamar, Miguel, Ciara and India.Arie, who will all take the stage.
The R&B singer has certainly made a great return to music. His 2013 effort The 20/20 Experience is on the charts at number three and is now double-platinum. BET has decided to nominate Timberlake a total of four times including Video of the Year, for his stylized video Suit & Tie, which features the highly praised rapper Jay-Z.
This is only the beginning for Timberlake, who’s set to board a stadium tour with Jay-Z called Legends of The Summer. In addition, Timberlake plans to release part two to his The 20/20 Experience in September. It’s said that the album will be called The 20/20 Experience Part 2, and will have a total of ten songs, which is the same amount of songs the first part had. For the second part it’s said that Timberlake will work more with producer Pharrell than Timbaland, who produced the entire length of his 20/20 Experience.
The BET awards will be hosted by comedian Chris Tucker, and will take place on Sunday, June 30 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
