Verizon Wireless has announced that they will go live with their LTE 4G technology on November 15th and while that’s good news for a large part of their customers, the bad news is that it will only affect 30 markets.
Long Term Evolution will offer vastly improved speeds over the companies current iteration of 3G (EVDO).
Verizon is also expected to announced two data cards for use on the system, although no specifics have been given as to which handsets will be compatible with the new data network.
While not all cities have been announced for the new network, we can expect to see standard launch cities in the mix including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Philadelphia. Verizon will also launch the system at 10 top airports. [Via Engadget ]
