Photos of Evelyn Lozada’s bloody head gash have emerged in the aftermath of Chad Johnson’s brief stay in jail.
Gossip site TMZ has posted the photos . Before you check them out, you should be warned that they are very upsetting and feature a large gash in tiny 37-year-old Evelyn Lozada’s forehead.
The cut in her forehead is three inches long. The photos were reportedly taken by police officers in the Florida emergency room where Lozada was taken for treatment after Johnson’s Aug. 11, 2012 attack.
He was arrested, and she filed for divorce three days later.
In a disturbing turn of events, Chad Johnson was sentenced to 12 months probation in the attack. The bloody attack apparently didn’t warrant jail time in a judge’s eyes.
But a victory slap on his lawyer’s rear end did.
In a hearing earlier this month, Broward County Circuit Judge Kathleen McHugh gave Johnson three additional months probation instead of jail after he skipped meeting his probation officer for the previous three months. However, when Johnson playfully slapped his attorney Adam Swickle on the butt to celebrate the no-plea deal, McHugh changed her mind and sent him to jail for 30 days .
McHugh was apparently more fired up about the perceived disrespect to her courtroom than the injuries to his ex-wife. In sentencing Johnson to jail, she said:
“I just saw you slap your attorney on the backside. Is there something funny about this? The whole courtroom was laughing. I’m not going to accept these plea negotiations…”
Apparently she cooled off later, and Johnson has now been released after a week in jail after apologizing to Judge McHugh .
TMZ reported that McHugh took another look last week at the bloody photos of Lozada, calling them horrific.
But apparently not horrific enough to send Chad Johnson to jail for the bloody attack on Evelyn Lozada.
In May 23 interview Lozada said that she no longer followed Chad Johnson’s arrest drama story:
It sounds like Chad Johnson is in Evelyn Lozada’s rear view mirror.
