Dave Chappelle Going On Tour
Dave Chappelle is going back on tour. The famous comedian will be co-headlining the Funny Or Die “Oddball Comedy Curiosity Tour” with the Flight Of the Conchords.
Chappelle has been an elusive figure since leaving Chappelle’s Show in 2003. He disappeared from the spotlight for a few years before returning to do a few comedy shows. Earlier this year, Chappelle started talking about going on tour after he joined Chris Rock and a few other comedians at the Comedy Cellar for an impromptu show.
Rock and Hart aren’t scheduled for the five week tour but it wouldn’t be too surprising to see a surprise appearance.
The Huffington Post reports that Chappelle will be co-headlining with the musical duo Flight Of The Conchords. Al Madrigal, Demetri Martin, Hannibal Buress, Kristen Schaal, John Mulaney, Brody Stevens and Chris D’Elia are also scheduled to perform.
Funny Or Die writes: “The Oddball Comedy Curiosity Festival w/ Dave Chappelle Flight of the Conchords is going to destroy your funny bone this summer!”
The Oddball Comedy Curiosity Tour will start this August in Austin, Texas and will end this September in California. Dave Chappelle will play more than a dozen shows in between hitting spots like Colorado, Chicago, Detroit and Arizona. Tickets for the festival go on sale this Friday.
