[VIDEO] Man ‘beats’ Bejeweled 2 after 2,205 hours of play

Here’s something I was unaware of – rather than simply going on forever, casual gaming hit Bejeweled 2 does apparently have an end point. And now one man with too much spare time has found that end point – after playing the gem-based puzzle game for 2,205 hours and 51 minutes.

California steel contractor Mike Leyde spent three years playing a single round of Bejeweled 2, racking up 4,872,229 gems, and earning the highest possible score in the game: 2,147,483,647. Therefore, according to maker PopCap, Leyde is the first individual to ever beat Bejeweled 2. Yay?
