New specifics about the amazing new 2015 Dodge Charger — the most-powerful production sedan ever — lineup are coming to light. Left Lane News is reporting that Fiat Chrysler automobiles has announced some highly anticipated new details , including pricing and features about the SRT Hellcat
Car and Driver says that the whompin’, stompin’ 707-hp supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V-8 from the Challenger SRT Hellcat will start at $63,995, based on public comments during the official announcement on Friday. The pricing includes a $1,700 gas guzzler tax but excludes a $995 destination fee. It is $4,000 more than the starting price of its Dodge Challenger Hellcat sibling at $59,995.
For those keen on cold, bizarre-sounding titles to technical papers, the SAE filing in question is called “J1349 Certified Power Engine data for Chrysler as used in 6.2L SC HEMI (Hellcat) 2015 MY Dodge Challenger 6.2L SC SRT; 2015 MY Dodge Charger 6.2L SC SRT – Level 1.” Car and Driver simplifies that wordy mess to what they suspect the production car will be called: “2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat.”
So it looks like there’s a 707-hp super sedan on the way sometime during the 2015 model year. This being the case, it will be the most over the top horsepower machine in any production four-door sedan. It’s also got the best mph-to-dollar ratio, with a terminal velocity of 204 mph.

Dodge claims “the Hellcat Charger is “the world’s quickest, fastest, most powerful sedan,” a representative from Dodger says.
“We can’t think of any more powerful sedans, not new ones at least, and we also can’t think of many new sedans we’d rather put in our driveway. In addition, the Hellcat will share some cosmetic features with the 485-horsepower Charger SRT 392, including six-pot Brembo front brake calipers, which it’ll need to slow the roll of Slingshot 20-inch forged alloys 9.5 inches wide and wrapped in Pirelli P-zero 275/40ZR20 tires. Adaptive suspension can set the stiffness in three modes, and one of the optional wheel colors is called Brass Monkey.”
The new Charger was given a full-body makeover, and has gotten many technology and performance upgrades. It will feature a standard eight-speed automatic transmission, e-shifter, and push-button start.
